by admin477351

Amid reports of renewed tensions along the China-India border, China has called on India to adhere to existing bilateral agreements to maintain peace and stability in the disputed region. The appeal comes from Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, who emphasized Beijing’s commitment to these agreements and the importance of upholding territorial sovereignty through routine patrols and border management activities.

Guo’s statement follows Indian reports suggesting that incidents occur when Chinese troops allegedly deviate from established patrolling patterns, leading to standoffs. Despite these tensions, Guo noted that both countries remain engaged in diplomatic and military dialogues aimed at addressing border-related issues. He urged India to collaborate with China in implementing mutual understandings and to take practical steps to prevent further escalations.

The ongoing situation highlights the enduring challenge for both nations to maintain peace and tranquillity along their shared border. Managing territorial disputes through dialogue and established communication mechanisms remains a critical focus as both sides seek to prevent conflicts from intensifying.
