The 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), held in Shanghai, showcased a spectacular display of young mathematical talent from over 120 countries and regions. In this prestigious competition, China emerged as the leader in the team standings, achieving an impeccable victory. The Chinese team, consisting of six contestants, all managed to secure gold medals, marking a flawless performance on their home ground.
Trailing behind China, the United States claimed the second spot in the overall rankings, while Russia and Singapore took third and fourth places, respectively. The competition was fierce, with a total of 55 gold, 105 silver, and 189 bronze medals distributed among the participants. Additionally, 141 young mathematicians received honorable mentions for their commendable efforts and performances throughout the event.
