China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, as confirmed by a spokesperson from China’s Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun. During a routine press briefing on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations are keeping an open line of communication concerning border matters and are in the process of enacting the agreements made in the prior discussions.
Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. As part of his visit, he engaged in talks with India’s National Security Adviser, Ajit Doval, on Monday. These discussions are part of ongoing efforts to address and manage border-related issues between the two countries.
Guo emphasized that the overall situation along the border shared by China and India is stable, with effective communication channels in place between the two sides. He reiterated that both countries are diligently working to implement the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary discussions. This ongoing dialogue underscores the commitment from both sides to resolve outstanding issues amicably.
The upcoming talks are anticipated to further these efforts, focusing on managing border issues while striving to maintain peace and stability along the shared frontier.
